A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME

••• Born and raised in a small town in Michigan, my thirst for adventure drove me to move across the country to relocate to Los Angeles and live with my father at age fifteen. I grew up in a very creative home, where art and innovation were valued highest above all else. Seeking a more exciting lifestyle than our small town provided, I was able to nurture my creativity and desire for personal growth by pursuing the arts. I studied Fine Art and Business Management at the University of California, Santa Cruz, with an emphasis in figure drawing and painting. After learning all the ins and outs of art history, composition and color theory, I was turned on to the medium of photography while traveling abroad in Lyon, France during my sophomore year at college. It was there I purchased my first camera and it was love at first sight! Initially only intending to photograph a music festival, then return the gear, I couldn’t help but become OBSESSED with the art of visual story-telling that the lens provided.

••• Building my way up from photographing live music and nightlife events to families, portraits and weddings, I have found such an immense passion for the art of photography. It has now been 5+ years since I started my photographic journey full time and I can confidently say that no other role I’ve worked in has been anywhere near as fulfilling as being able to capture people’s important moments while expanding upon the artistic and technical skills I’ve acquired along the way.

••• I absolutely love photographing people in nature and am always game for an adventure! Open to travel worldwide, my lifelong goal is to see as much of the world as possible while bringing value to others by documenting their precious memories.

••• I have a husband to whom I am eternally devoted, Christopher, who often works as my second photographer. We have a little girl, Elizabeth, who lights up my world. We are also expecting a second baby and I hope to eventually have three or four kiddos to call my own. Nothing has ever made me quite as happy as the two of them and they give me so much motivation to always do my best, grow and seek knowledge and inspiration at every opportunity.
